The Public Health Impact Academy (PHIA) is building public health leaders and strengthening communities.

The Public Health Impact Academy (PHIA) is designed to meet a critical need: equipping public health and healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to lead change, improve outcomes, and foster equity in the communities they serve.

In today’s rapidly changing world, professionals are facing complex challenges—from emerging health threats to widening health disparities. These challenges require more than technical expertise. They demand adaptability, innovation, strategic leadership, and a deep understanding of equity.

That’s why professional development is no longer optional—it’s essential.

What Makes PHIA Different?

While many self-paced courses exist, PHIA offers something more: live, expert-led, interactive trainings that create a safe space for real-time engagement, peer learning, practical application, and action planning. These sessions are designed not just to inform—but to equip you with actionable tools that you can immediately apply in your work.

Why It Matters

From navigating policy shifts to building community trust and designing inclusive programs, public health professionals must be prepared to lead with clarity and purpose. Yet, many are expected to do more with fewer resources—and often without the training or support they need to succeed. That’s where PHIA comes in.

By investing in your growth, you can:

  • Stay current on best practices, research, and policy trends

  • Strengthen your leadership and management skills

  • Design and evaluate impactful, community-centered programs

  • Promote equity, access, and belonging across diverse populations

  • Build meaningful connections with professionals and thought leaders

Training Topics Include:

  • Root causes of health disparities – Understanding the "why" behind inequities in our communities.

  • The impact of social determinants of health – Exploring how environments shape opportunities for all and how we can address systemic barriers.

  • Program evaluation and design – Creating community-centered initiatives that reflect the needs of diverse perspectives.

  • Community engagement – Building partnerships that promote belonging, access for all, and empower underrepresented voices.

  • Effective health communication strategies – Breaking barriers with culturally responsive and inclusive approaches.

  • Advocacy and policy – Championing systemic change and public health justice.

  • Purpose-driven leadership – Leading with intention, authenticity, and accountability to inspire equitable health strategies.

  • And more….

Grounded in the 10 Essential Public Health Services (centered on Assessment, Assurance, and Policy Development), PHIA goes beyond theory.

Participants will leave with practical frameworks and clear strategies to implement and sustain equity-driven programs and policies in their organizations.

Be Part of the Collective

When you join PHIA, you become part of a growing collective of equity-driven leaders and change makers committed to breaking down barriers and building a healthier, more just future for all communities.

This is more than training—it’s a catalyst for impact.

Are you ready to lead the change? Let’s level up your public health career and build inclusive, thriving communities—together.
